Hotel Europejski
The Hotel Europejski is a tourist-class establishment located in the heart of Krakow, only minutes to the main train station and the central Market Square. Nestled on the banks of the Wisla (Vistula) River, between the Jura Uplands and the Tatra Mountains, Krakow is a magical city, left practically unspoiled since the Tartar raids of the 13th Century. Visitors from around the world marvel at its renowned theaters, its excellent restaurants, and its spectacular Royal Castle. The Hotel Europejski's fascinating history follows accordingly with that of Poland in general-once an impressive Grand Hotel with an elegant turn of the century ballroom, after WWII the Europejski became the subject of a prolonged battle over "nationalization". The owners fought valiantly to save their family business, but ultimately lost it to the national government. In the lean years of communist rule, the hotel fell into ruin, and it was not until 1991, after the fall of the Iron Curtain, that it was finally returned to the descendents of its rightful owners. Today, each of the Hotel Europejski 54 renovated rooms and suites is comfortably furnished and fully equipped to suit the demands of the 21st century traveler. The hotel's two restaurants, the "Noblesse" and the "Kossakowka," offer guests a wide selection of traditional Polish and European cuisine, and a full range of entertainment-everything from a billiard club and café bar to a full "VIP" beauty parlor featuring sauna, Jacuzzi, solarium, fitness center, manicure/pedicure and massage services, is sure to be a hit with all who visit. A guarded car park is conveniently located just next to the hotel. Friendly and efficient, the hotel staff is always on hand to make your stay comfortable and worry-free. Today's Hotel Europejski is making up for lost time, slowly restoring all of its former glory-visit it and be charmed! This hotel is very conveniently located, only minutes to fine dining, shopping, and entertainment venues.
