Grand Hotel

The Grand Hotel is a four star establishment located only meters from Krakow's lively Market Square, right in the heart of its breathtaking Old City. Established in 1885 by Eustachy Jaksa Chronowski, the hotel is housed in the former Prince Czartoryski Palace, an impressive structure carefully restored to its original glory. All of the interior decoration and the hotel's richly ornamented facades have been meticulously preserved, including its famous Mirror Hall restaurant and its Jan Bisanz café, a 1920's era gathering place that was the darling of the city's elite and artist community. After WWII, under communist rule, the hotel was taken over by the state and fell into disrepair. Fortunately, in 1989, coinciding with the fall of the Iron Curtain, a committee was formed to oversee its restoration under the supervision of Krakow's Historic Complex Evaluation Board. Today's Grand Hotel is an incredible example of the splendor of the Belle Epoque, offering guests a timeless journey into the elegance and refinement of yesteryear.
